Saapan has a work experience of over 13 years across various Retail Organizations which include Training and Development. He has trained more than 900 associates at Entry/ Middle/ levels.
From the year 2001, Saapan started his retail career with Pantaloons and later moved to Vishal Mega Mart. Then he joined Max Retail (Landmark Group) as a Department Manager. Within a year of joining MAX retail he got promoted to the Assistant Store Manager level. The role involved in understanding the business well which included resourcing, Operations and Sales incharge of a 10,000 square foot retail store with merchandise in the categories of garments, footwear, home furnishings, accessories and gift items and a store strength of 50.
He has successfully undergone Train the Trainer Program by Manipal City & Guilds. His responsibility was to train young talents to increase their employability rate. This training was completely into behavioral where there was a gradual improvement of the candidate by set processes and constant coaching.
Saapan’s Core Competent Training Areas include Strategic Planning, Unit Management, Market/Sales Analysis, Project/Team Management, Performance Monitoring and Promotional Activities.
Saapan’s Professional Strengths are his proven capability of managing unit office, strengthening and improving the business systems, and motivating and leading large but effective teams, Team Management and People Management.
He is the Managing Partner and co-owner of the business enterprise, Trendz. His responsibilites at Trendz were to look after all season buying throught out the year, generate market for their showroom in Alambagh and taking care of promotions and different marketing activities.
Some of the clients he has trained for include Shopper’s Stop, Reliance Trends, Arvind Lifestyle brands, Domino’s Pizza.
Saapan is a certified Training Professional by Manipal- City & Guilds in India. He has also empanelled as a Guest Faculty in Lucknow University Management Programmes.
