Ayan has a work experience of over 28 years across various industries and countries which include Industrial Engineering Projects, Risk Management, Financial Planning, Training and Development. He has trained more than 10,000 professionals in different countries at Entry/ Middle/ Senior management levels. He is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute, from the Life Office Management Association, USA, an Associate in Financial Planning from the Financial Planning Standards Board, India and accredited from the Insurance Institute of India. Handling projects on Human Capital Management for reputed corporate houses, Ayan is humbled by the opportunity to learn every day.
A Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, Ayan has many years’ exposure to working with Fortune 500 companies in India and abroad in Project Management, as well as in risk management and financial services. He has led high performance business development and Learning / Development teams in diverse business domains.
Ayan also has over sixteen years of exposure conducting high impact workshops for reputed corporate clients in India and abroad. Over 50 reputed corporate houses and identified Business Management Schools regularly seeks his professional services.
From the year 1990, Ayan started his career with Blue Star and later moved to Johnson. He was promoted to Geography Head – Nepal, Bangladesh and East India overseeing large Industrial Engineering Projects with Top line and Bottom line targets.
Since 2000, Ayan got the opportunity to work for NIS Sparta, part of the NIIT group as Group Manager – Corporate Training and serviced more than 100 Client accounts across India and Bangladesh successfully with repeat Orders.
He was involved in Corporate Induction, conducting workshops in communication, customer service, telephone English for work and leadership. He was involved in resourcing, voice assessment and scheduling (preparation of calendar for the trainers and the training calendar).
Ayan has successfully undergone the prestigious “SPIN Selling Skills Train The Trainer” under Huthwaite Research Group, “Adventures in Attitude Train The Trainer” under Inchcape. Subsequently, there were several TTT programs successfully cleared on various Training Modules across India.
At NIS Sparta, Ayan worked with clients from all domains, giving him the opportunity to broaden his horizons. The client list ranges over Engineering, FMCG, FMCD, Telecom, construction, pharmaceutical, ITES, IT, Analytics, Insurance and academics. He was in the front end to deliver right from freshers to senior management level.
A nine year stint in the Insurance Industry with reputed companies has given an in depth understanding of Risk Management, Financial Planning and Sales Force Productivity Management.
While at NIS Sparta in the second innings, as the National Operations Head, Ayan had the opportunity to handle the entire Reliance ADAG portfolio of companies helping them identify, resolve and assess the Learning Needs of thousands of professionals in the financial services world.
While at SREI Finance Group, Ayan as the National Head of Learning / Development he has been primarily responsible for providing customized end-to-end soft skills training and development solutions through interactive and experiential learning workshops. More than 3000 role holders across India had to be mapped for the first time in terms of their competencies. Different leaders had to be deputed to globally reputed learning institutions including Harvard Business School, IIMs, ISB, XLRI, etc. and help the organization transform into a Learning Organization.
He is currently a senior consulting faculty with Mindskillz adding value to the organization with his multiple certifications
