Harsh, has a 36 years of work experience across various industries and Indian Air Force, which include IT, Banking and Financial services, Infrastructure and Consulting. He is currently a senior faculty member at Mindskillz.
In the Indian Air Force, he trained senior officers of all the three services and officers from friendly foreign countries on various aspects of military leadership and air combat and has firsthand experience in leading people in Kargil operations. In corporate sector, he was Vice President HRD at Clarion Technologies with centers at Pune, Bangalore, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. He was also VP(HR), national head of Learning and Development including Sales training at Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance limited. He also headed the business HR function of the company. He also led the HR team for Xrbia developers, a leading real estate developer in Pune-Mumbai area.
Harsh has led over 1000 workshops covering various aspects in last 25+ years. Harsh in known for conceptualizing, designing, train the trainers, delivery and for training assessment against the training needs of the organization.
Being passionate L&D professional, Harsh has taken keen interest in training and developing people in every organization he has been part of. While at Clarion Technologies he started the leadership development initiative and developed programs for development of team leaders and project managers and ran yearlong interventions.
At Bajaj Allianz, he conceptualized, designed and executed leadership programs for first time managers, middle level managers and CXOs and those identified as high potential. In approximately seven years he trained over 3000 managers through 200 programs. The leadership programs were designed to improve business by enhancing individual and team performance by developing both business and behavioral skills necessary for the role. Each workshop/training had regular follow-up so that learning became a habit. These programs were replicated by Allianz Asia Pacific for implementation in other Allianz centers(countries) in the region. He also introduced the concept of blended learning in the organization by introducing e-learning for some mass training interventions. As a Sales training Head, he introduced the behavioral training along with product and sales concepts. In fact, he has the distinction of heading team of over 400 trainers, the largest in the private insurance companies in India. For his sustained effort, Harsh received ’25 Best Training & Development Professional of India’ award from World HRD Congress in 2015.
At Xrbia, as HR head streamlined the working of the HR department by framing policies for talent acquisition, competency building, appraisal system to ensure organisational business objectives are achieved.
As a consultant Harsh has delivered workshops successfully for companies in IT, insurance, public sector banks, telecom, manufacturing and even in consulting domain. He has designed, developed and delivered programs for managers at various levels. He combines various assessment tools such as Belbin team roles, Extended-DISC, Transactional Analysis etc to bring about deeper understanding of individual style and supports individual and group change process keeping the organisational culture in mind.
On the academic front, Harsh is a gold medalist in BSc, has a master’s degree in Strategic studies from Madras University, Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (HRD) from Symbiosis, Pune and a Diploma in Training and Development from ISTD, New Delhi. He is also a ICF certified coach and Diploma in Transactional Analyst from ICTA, Kochi. He also a green belt in six sigma.
